Spiderman abs!!

So the amazing viria sometimes draws these things that go along with songs. They will be a story like Percy Jackson and there will be a lot of art panels and they tell the story. So after me traumatized by the Amazing Spiderman 2 I decided I would do kind of the same thing with Spiderman. So here is my Andrew Garfield as spiderman after he was attacked by the lizard in the first movie. I am very proud of the abs I drew. So here you go.

I hope to finish the entire sketch by next week for you guys but I doubt I will be able to have it colored. Well anyway I showed it to a couple a friends what I had so far and they really liked it so I'm excited!

How to Draw a Face in Profile

So today I figured I would do another how to draw post. So here is how to draw a face in profile. Hopefully you be able to apply these tips to create your own character. 

This is what the final product will look like after I have finished giving you the step by step tips.

First we start off with the best circle you can muster. It doesn't have to be perfect but it helps a lot when you get to drawing the back of the head and the neck.

Then you draw a line down it facing where ever your character is going to be looking. You want to be sure not to make it too long or too short, if too long the back of the head will be too far up. If too short the back of the head os too low or your eye lines could be messed up. 

Next you add the jaw line. Try and make it go towards the circle a little bit, not straight out. Otherwise it makes the face look less realistic and a little boxy.

Here I added some guidelines for the eyes and the nose. The one that goes all the way through the head is for the eyes and eventually the ears. The smaller one is for the nose. The eyes are halfway down the face and the nose is halfway between the eyes and the chin. For the back of the neck you want to curve it a bit because thats what necks do. And for the front just find a place where it feels like a good size to you because not everyone has the same size neck.

When drawing the nose follow the circle guide for a while till you get to the bridge of the nose where the eyes will be. After that there are many different types of noses you could do. You could have hard edges or soft button nose. For this drawing I did sort of a mix in between. 

Now is the time to add the eyes! First make a line that is slightly curved vertically, careful not to make it too close to the edge of the nose. Then depending on the type of eye you could do several things. You could make it short and long or tall and thin. Mine is tall and medium width I guess, that is my favorite type because it add a sort of bubbly or puppy feeling to the eye. 

Eyebrows are the most important thing when creating an expression. I figured I would make him slightly sad or worried. To do this I simply tilted the eyebrow up at the end to create that effect.

Now I added the ear and the lips. The ear goes from the jawline to the eyebrow-ish area. I personally feel that if you go any longer it makes them look like they have incredibly enormous ears and it does not please me. For the lips you simply make a sort of triangle shape. Some artists only draw the upper lip but I feel it makes it seem a bit strange, I can't really explain it. 

Now its time for the hair, but before we get to the style I sometimes draw the hairline if its a new hair style I want to draw. So this guy is going to have the not-so-sideburn in front of his ear.

In animes people usually have very large hair, but in my type of style its a bit smaller than that. So the line around the head is how far I want the hair to go.

This is my favorite type of hair style for reasons I know not. But hopefully with this guide you will be able to use your own type of hairstyle.

So now I shaded the hair and it is finished. And that is how you draw a face in profile.

The Winter Soldier

Last weekend I saw Captain America the Winter Soldier and was inspired to draw the villain. I apologize in advance because I'm going to rant about this for a minute. So I don't know why but I always love the bad people in marvel movies and shows because for some reason they aren't fully bad. Except red skull but he's a whole different deal. Ok beware spoilers from this point on!!!! So the winter soldier is Bucky and I knew that from the second the title of the movie was released and I know that because I'm a total nerd and have watched the first season of the Avengers TV show. And I know that the next Avengers movie is going to be about Ultron who Iron man and Ant man build who is supposedly indestructible. Can't wait to see how that turns out because in the show it got really annoying towards the end. Sorry got a little carried away. So any way here is the Winter Soldier.

And I believe it is time for an update on what I am watching. So it is now up to the second season of Black Butler, Attack on Titan about half way through the fist season, and I just started Arrow which is way better than I thought it was going to be. However I could really do without the narratives he does.

Guardians of Childhood + Bonus Drawing

Well, as you know I am pretty obsessed with Rise of the Guardians. So of course me being the nerd I am read all of the books that it was based off of. And yes it is directed toward a slightly younger audience but I think the author still has some amazing ideas. And some of the content in them doesn't seem like its intended for them. I don't know it's confusing. Well any way our dear William Joyce decided to end his last Guardians of Childhood book with Nightlight kissing Kathrine in order to wake her up from her eternal nightmare that Pitch was kind enough to give her. But thats not all, apparently because of this nightlight looses his boyhood which is what makes him who he is. And I don't know whats going to happen to him and its bugging me. 

Well heres my theory, the other guardians are going to find a way to save him and he is somehow going to become Jack Frost. He has to one way or another, ever since book one they have almost the same exact personality and everything. And might I also add in that in the note at the end of the third book he mentions Jackson Overland Frost coming in. And guess what. He didn't. Needless to say I was upset with his empty promise. So I'm really hoping he is going to come in the next book. 

Sorry for that rant. Here I'll make it up to you with a picture of when Nightlight kissed Kathrine. I just thought it was adorable and wanted to draw it. I gave him Jack's hair from ROTG because as mention before I think they either are or are going to be the same person. 

And also here is a bonus drawing of what I might submit to the arts program thing. I forgot what it was called. Well anyway, it is not finished yet. This is just a really detailed sketch I had of what I wanted to do. Can you guess what's going on?

I apologize, I can't seem to get the picture to fit in the space provided. So if you would be so kind as to ignore it that would be just dandy. :P I'll figure out how to fix it eventually, maybe, hopefully.

Oh and by the way, I would love it if you guys would give me some drawing suggestions or even challenges. I'm running out of ideas here guys! Not really but shhh. If you don't want your comment to be posted on a picture you can add that in there and I wont publish it. Sound good? Good. What I've Been working on this week

So This week I decided to do a post on what I've done in general vs one specific thing. So today I give you Jack Frost and some hugging people.

With this drawing comes an interesting story full of indecisiveness. My family and I were watching a movie and I was bored so I decided I would draw something. It started out as... well I don't even know what it was supposed to be. But I could't get the pose to work so I erased it all. Then I thought about the movie Rise of the Guardians. I tried to do the pose when he was on the fence with his staff on his shoulders but I couldn't get the angle right so I started over once again. This time I thought I would still try Jack. I thought I might have him looking down at Sandy like he did with Jamie. I don't know why I just wanted to. And then I don't know what happened, I think he was looking too far up or I didn't really want to draw Sandy so I ended up drawing the scene when he was playing the the dream sand in the movie. And looking at it now, it probably looks like I used a reference but I didn't.

This one is a drawing I did on my tablet. I just got it so I'm still getting used to it but I don't think this one looks half bad. I had drawn the same image earlier that day in pencil so I already had an idea of what to do. And by the way this is not my own idea and poses and stuff. I watched Mark Crilley's video on how to draw people hugging for my art project. He's awesome, you should check him out.

Ouran Highschool Host Club

Well, I had a sleepover with some of my anime friends last week and they introduced me to Ouran Highschool Host club. At first I thought I wouldn't really like it because... I don't know it just seemed kind of strange. Then we watched it at made fun of it and its now one of my favorites!! Its so adorable!!! I think you should definitely watch it with a large group of friends and just laugh till you can't stand it. So I'm already more than half way through the season and its only been a week, not to mention I had finals too.  

So in honor of this show I have drawn most of the original host club, I didn't draw Kyoya because I attempted it and it completely and utterly failed. So yeah...

The one above is Honey Senpai. An adorable 17 year old who looks and acts like he's 7. But thats alright. He and his adorable partner...

Mori Senpai!!!!! He is the strong silent type but still super strong and awesome!!

And Here is the leader of the whole group Tamaki!! he probably has the most emotions in this show, he is definitely one of my favorites but not as much as...

The Hitachiin twins!!!! Oh my goodness I don't know why I love them so much but I do and they're so adorable and ahhhhhh!!!! And I can finally determine which is which!!!! The one on the left is Kaoru and Hikaru is the one on the right. My favorite out of the two would probably be Kaoru. He's way nicer and has less of a sassy attitude. Don't get me wrong I love their ness but when Hikaru is alone he is more extreme and it kinda bugs me. He just likes to shut people out.

Chibi avengers

So as promised here are the chibi avengers, they still aren't as good as I wanted them to be but I was really rushed. Just ignore Captain America on the bottom. My favorite avenger would probably be either Thor or Captain America, I have brought him shame. :( But aside from strictly avengers my favorite character is tied between Loki and Spiderman. However I only like Loki in the newer movies, and I like Spiderman in every version I've seen so far. And for wolverine same thing as Loki, I think he is okay in the few episodes I've seen with him but with the movies with Hugh Jackman oh my god there are no words!! And sorry if you can see the guidlines, as I said before I was kind of in a rush to finish this.

I kind of got became re-obssesed with Rise of the Guardians again sooooo.... yeah.
